Empowering Community Change Makers in Sumter through Fiscal Support and Innovative Initiatives

Our journey at A3 Power Foundation has evolved significantly since 2023. We began by providing direct services such as meals and volunteer support to those in need. Today, we focus on strengthening the community by offering fiscal support to care providers, teachers, and change makers who are already making a difference in Sumter, South Carolina, and across the U.S. This shift allows us to multiply our impact by empowering those who work tirelessly on the front lines.

Our mission has transformed because our vision has expanded.

From Direct Service to Fiscal Support

Since 2023, A3 Power Foundation has provided over 850 meals with our Blessed Meals Delivery program, and contributed more than 1200 volunteer hours. These efforts have been vital, but we realized that our impact could grow by supporting the people and organizations already embedded in the community. Instead of delivering all the services ourselves, we now provide small grants to individuals, community groups, and organizations. These grants help fund projects and programs that align with our mission and values.

This approach recognizes the expertise and dedication of local care providers, teachers, and change makers. By giving them financial resources, we help them expand their reach and improve their programs without the limitations of direct service delivery.

Third Power Acres: A Vision for Community and Well-being

One of our most exciting projects is Third Power Acres, a farm cooperative being built by the founders and supporters of A3 Power Foundation. This initiative is designed to create a space where nonprofits, educators, and change makers can come together to recharge, collaborate, and grow.

Third Power Acres will serve as a venue for retreats and workshops, offering a peaceful environment that fosters creativity and connection. The farm co-op will also promote sustainable agriculture and community engagement, providing fresh produce and educational opportunities for local residents.

This project reflects our belief that supporting the well-being of those who serve the community is essential for lasting change.

Whisking Wisdom: Mentorship through Cooking

We also developed a program model for residential group homes and education facilities, called Whisking Wisdom, a mentorship and life skills initiative for young people in the foster care system. This program uses cooking classes and volunteers as a platform to teach practical life-skills and important values.

Through cooking, young individuals learn more than recipes. They build confidence, develop patience, and discover how to work together. These lessons prepare them for challenges beyond the kitchen and help them build a strong foundation for their futures.

Grants Available for Cooking and Life Skills Programs

Currently, A3 Power Foundation offers grants for programs that focus on cooking and life skills. We encourage community groups, educators, residential group homes, and nonprofits to apply for funding that supports initiatives similar to Whisking Wisdom or other projects that empower young people through practical learning.

These grants are designed to help programs expand their reach, improve their curriculum, and provide meaningful experiences for participants.
